This painting represents an event that happened while I was camping in Calico Ghost Town in California. While walking through the town, there was a grouping of people staring at the ground. When I approached the group, I saw two chipmunks fighting it out while being totally oblivious to the group of people that had surrounded them. I could only assume they were fighting over a female, who must have ran away by the time the first person showed up. The fight went on for several minutes before they finally realized the close proximity of people and ran off.
